Airbag warning light

Since having removed the steering wheel (it is now re-fitted) the airbag warning light has come on. Does this need to be reset?

Did you disconnect the battery whilst removing the steering wheel?

as per instruction yes I did disconnect the battery. A wise decision I thought as the airbag and wheel electrics were being disconnected

Could be that the rotary coupler has been damaged when you removed the wheel

don't think I damaged anything. Was pretty careful and all the connections went back together as they should

It's a garage job, as it's safety related. Any decent garage will be able to reset, unless of course a problem actually exists.

Mine cleared no problems Smile

Ive taken 100 steering wheels off without the light coming on afterwards, so i would say you definately have a fault now. Maybe not plugged in correctly.
