It silly too, as they treat the FBH as a sealed unit - if it don't work, it's replaced. Yet they are relatively simple little bits.

LR technicians are not trained for repairing anything these days.

If you do a quick search on google there is a VERY good guide on how to tear it down and repair it.

Mine's bust as well Well technically it isn't, it has a wiring fault which is preventing it working but warranty is covering it. Loom on order.

Can it be removed without draining coolant and stuff? And run teh car happily with it missing? Might be something in this. Graham

Yes. Clamp pipes while removing. Fit a bridging piece of copper pipe temporarily. |

You would lose some coolant but you could get a standard joiner pipe and just loop that section of the colling circuit to bypass it.
