Front brake calipers

Does anyone know what ffrr had brembos fitted and were they always the 6pots or were brembo 4pots ever used??

I have the refurb kits for some brembo 4pots left and am thinking they may be a good upgrade but didn't pay attention or think of it when changing my alloys over other than checking pad thickness quickly Embarassed FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

2006 - 2009 had 4 pot Brembos on the front. Rears are a standard land Rover item. 2010 had some standard calipers and then in 2011 Brembos were back but larger I think. Now needs 20" wheels cos 19's don't fit over the calipers.

All from memory. And right now I can't remember where I left my Alzheimer's tablets. Wink

Well a quick look this morning shows the calipets are twin piston sliding type units so a possible upgrade to some newer 4pots will be on the cards.

Just need to compare disc sizes and caliper mounts... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It looks like the setup for the sc and 3.6 tdv8 and tdv6/sdv6 ffrr, ssrr and d4 use 360x30mm discs where as the td6 and 4.4 v8 petrols use 345x30mm rotors.

Anyone near donny replacing theirs anytime soon so I could do a trial run an make sure the discs are a simple slot on jobby( I think they will be as the stud pattern hasn't changed) then I can get te 4pot calipers and if they can't bolt straight Ono the current mounts get a mount adapter made up Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well thank you to Dan and Adam(?) @ Duckworths.

Turns out the mounts for all calipers between 02-09 are all the same Very Happy

So off to find some now and i reckon(lots of crossed fingers!!) that the following will do for an upgrade,

- Set of uprated calipers
- Set of Pads
- Set of Disk's.

Possibly a set of brake hoses but this can be checked when i get the items which im off scrounging for now...

Before anyone asks i did think of the newer 6pot units but they would limit me to 20" rims only and i don't fancy that long term... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
