What a childish spat, keep it up. Love it. Thumbs Up

The 2011 TDV8 is a 4.4. He didn't mention petrol, I think you did ... Graham

OH FFS CHILDREN!

Its like listening to 2 kids! 1 is 3 the other is 7!!

This is an FBH appreciation thread, not a spat thread!

(PS, Disco and Semi Skimmed owners dont really have a proper FBH, they just have some engine warmer as LR needed to keep costs down on the lesser models!) Wink

Antoniasdad...

try this for me please.
when you have a few minutes, try running the FBH using the remote, but activating it from inside the car and noting what happens.
do you feel the HVAC working?
can you hear the fuel pump clicking?
which lights / LEDs are flashing in the AUTO dial?
when the FBH shuts down, is there any message displayed?

as for johnson1, he just gets upset whenever he tries to argue with me, as his ass gets whooped everytime.

So I tried again this morning...

Pressed the fob and green light flashed for about 6 secs...then nothing. No more flashing every few seconds to tell me it's working..nothing happening in the car Sad

Then the message on the dash...battery needs charging, start engine...WTF!

Without wanting to get involved in any way in this willy waving contest, Here is what I found this morning:

Ramble, you stated "In the centre of the heating and ventillation console, there is a knob with "AUTO" on it in the middle.
There are two LEDs........a circular one above the AUTO, and a bar below the AUTO. When the FBH is operating and heating the vehicle, the upper LED will flash. In ventillation only mode, the lower bar will flash."

Well my A/c only comes on when you put the key in the ignition, so none of the above lights come on when the FBH is initiated with the remote. HOWEVER, a little RED star light flashes above the lower right hand control knob on the central screen when the FBH is on.

One thing I have noticed is that while mine all works ('04 petrol 4.4 VCool it is not really warm inside when I get in; it defrosts etc but the air is only mildly warm, even cool from the vents. Can we adjust the temp at all?

do you feel the HVAC working? YES
can you hear the fuel pump clicking NO
which lights / LEDs are flashing in the AUTO dial? Neither; but I do get an orange flashing light top left of the upper panel, above the "Settings" button
when the FBH shuts down, is there any message displayed? NO

It's going into Lookers on Tuesday for them to take a proper look at it. Graham

Not sure, I purchased the car in Nov'11, it was built March '11. I assumed all the known issues were before this build date? Could it need the update? Current MY2020

AMD have a quick look at your battery, the replacement battey should be an Exide battery marked AGM / VRLA, if you have this battery then you have the latest one. If you dont have this one then you probably don't have the latest software either. Your dealer would be able to tell you if the work has been done though, the two updates to mine were campain Q137 and Q142, the first one being the battery and the second one being the software updates. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

I think Q142 updated the software on the FBH and put the car into sleep mode faster to save battery, I'm also waiting to go in to have the telestart receiver swopped, not sure if that was part the campaign but it was ordered when it went in for this work. Mine was a Jan 2011 build though so may have slightly different requirements to later build vehicles. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB
