God bless the FBH !!

Looked out of the window this morning, about an inch of snow. Not a lot compared to the west, but the car was covered in solid ice. Had a cup of coffee, pressed the FBH remote and just waited.
When I went out it was totally clear on the windows and toasty hot inside.
I love this car in the bad weather. Very Happy
Thanks to all the info on this site for getting my FBH working again... Thumbs Up Previously..

They are great arent they!! Side effect is better mpg when below about 15'c and much less engine wear for a very tiny amount of fuel used!

I've only got the timed one as well scarey but doesn't fuss me too much as I work long shifts and when I'm off I drop kids off first thing but still no snow Sad

Mine must be F Censored D as i thought i would try it for the first time since getting the TDV8 , pressed the remote all it did was constantly flash red for a few seconds , after 10 mins or so still no sign of the car defrosting or snow melting …..

Then again suppose i better read the Manual …. Laughing Laughing Laughing ====================================

if you have the MY10 Vogue SE, battery drain will not be a problem. I loved the FBH on my MY10.
My MY11 on the other hand, is a different matter.

Yes, it's all about the pre-heater. Unfortunately my new RR won't have one Sad Dolphinboy has one of only a handfull of Petrol vehicles fitted with one... (until I sneak round there in the middle of the night and un-plumb it!)

I'm looking at fitting a kenlowe equiv to the car to eat least get the engine warmed up.

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

When I was still a poor student, I had the poor man's equivalent of the FBH. Had a small electric heater in the car, extension cord into the house, plug in before having breakfast and presto, defrosted the entire car. By the time the interior was cooling down (after driving of) the heater started working and I was fine Smile

So for those that don't have the FBH, maybe this idea works for them as well Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

The FBH on my 2006 SC was just amazing, even after just 10mins. On my 2011MY TDV8, it's pants. The screen is just about defrosted and the car is still cold inside. Big Cry Current MY2020

so write to LR's executive office and tell them.
It's nearly a grand's worth of kit you paid for, and it should work properly.
It's what I am doing....if enough people let them know it is not good enough, they will fix it so it works like the "old" versions.
The advance of technology? LR, don't make me laugh.
