Hi All, Just joined the site and enjoyed reading some of the threads. I have a full sized RR,3.6 TDV8 and am considering a remap. Im wanting to increase power but main reason is to increase fuel economy.Im currently getting 26 around town and 28-30 on a run which i think is pretty good ,but does anyone know how much i might need to pay and which is the best to get better fuel economy and power?
Thanks in anticipation of any replies. Steve

Steve, remapping the TDV8 makes an amazing difference, you can expect about 313BHP and 800NM, which is just crazy!

Unless you drive like miss daisy and don't want to enjoy the power, its unlikely you will see a difference in economy, mine stayed the same for the last 2 cars I've had remapped, some have said they get 1 or 2mpg more, but its not massive. Its more about the fun and drivability of the car, makes it more enjoyable.

A good remap will be £400 ish. Plenty of info on the forum. Discovery 4 HSE

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi thanks for the reply, it's hard to imagine how the Range Rover could feel any smoother or quiker than it does at the moment, i have had the car for 4 months now and it always puts a smile on my face, i had a Porsche before and everybody says dont you miss it? NO
I am going to get it remapped by Evolution Chips i need to get better fuel economy to justify the cost to my wife!!!

Nice motor !!
Would be interesting to see how you like it. My missus is trying to get me to get one, but can't seem to tear myself away from that supercharged engine.
Just on my way to Land Rover myself.....the Sport S/C is poorly. Flat Baattery. Common fault from what i've read.
Enjoy the drive home ! Thumbs Up

Update on the poorly Sport Supercharged......it needs a new starter motor Big Cry Big Cry

Hi from Derby, Uk

Hi folks
Finally got myself an L322, after 3 P38's - guess I'm an addict...
Just hoping I don't have as many problems with this beastie as I did with all the others, but I suppose that's half the fun... 2003 L322 Vogue SE 4.4 + LPG
