I hope you're right. Not sure if you have the V8 or the TD6. The V8 runs a ZF auto, which is less prone to premature failure, but the TD6 uses a GM box that has known issues. I always thought I may have to do the trannie one day, but I never expected it to be this soon... Neutral

If your having suspension issues on LPG then check your compressor location and angle of install... Just like a conventional workshop compressor they are designed to work one way up only and suck in moisture etc when mounted incorrectly...

Hi Paul, as mentioned the ZF generally has less issues, but they do have a few quirks. There is a very good thread on this trannie - http://forum.landrovernet.com/showthread.p...4-teardown

This guy seems to everything about these beasts, so if you post him a question on what yours is doing, he may be able to tell you if you are in for trouble or not.

Cheer - Gav

It is maybe worth taking all the electric connectors off and spray them with WD-40 or CRC 2-26. Also disconnect the battery leads on the battery and clean the inside surface of the clamps of the leads and the battery poles. Then put a thin layer of vaseline on it to prevent any corrosion.

When I got mine it had been sitting still for 2 years and it showed a lot of faults in the beginning. The battery wasn't great either but before I changed that out, I did the connector trick with a lot of the connectors and the problems slowly disappeared.

Also check if all the connectors are "tight", take them out and make sure they go back on being tight. Check if they are not too loose causing intermittent contact.

Also check the belt/tensioner and alternator, to make sure your battery is properly charged. Do a check on the voltage at the poles of the battery while the car is running and with everything switched off. Even a new battery can fail sometimes.

Hope you get rid of the issues soon, that is when you will be able to really enjoy the luxury and comfort a FFRR. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
