You're probably right, but as you say it's likely to be a VERY small part of the overall ownership costs..... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey |

When I was in the market, my priority was on an >MY07 car with updated terrian response etc. The extra £200ish on road tax didn't even come into the equation........... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey |

Barrie, If you don't buy it at that price you don't deserve a FFRR! It's an absolute steal! You must be crazy even coming here asking about it. As somebody else said, rip his arm off, and then get on with enjoying it. As you've said, you can get problems with cars at 60k, 80k, 100k miles, 140k is little different. Honestly, if you don't buy this car immediately, you need your head seen to! Colour, everything else irrelevant, if you like the car, the to resale value, it looks fantastic, and it's very fully loaded. BUY IT! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

If you're spending tens of thousands on a car with MPG in the early 20's (at best), £200 extra a year on tax is completely irrelevant, especially when the tax bands will no doubt be changed again shortly and the saving will disappear. If that happens then you're left with a car worth less as it's on an older reg plate than one that may only be a few weeks younger (or even older depending when it was built / registered!) |

Congratulations, I think you just smashed the record for best value S/C on the forum! I bought one eight months ago with 120k on the clock for £20k (then lost £5k when I had to sell it 6 months later). I suspect that when the snow arrives you'll find you can sell it at a substantial profit, in fact regardless of snow or not, I'm sure you're in the money! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining! |

Hi. I know what you mean but every person looking to buy a standard vehicle there are others (i think) who like somthing a little different...similar to why people cheese brabus over amg for example. I think everyone must think about residuals at some stage...I dont mind loosing a little i just dont want to find In a year the car ive bought for 11k is work 7k or somthing! As for 911 ownership i had one before but this one was also for similar money and looked a very nice proposition but practicallity ensures that the range rover is a better bet...with the harsh winter were due it may prove to be a wise choice? |

The RR will be a MUCH better all-weather proposition compared to the 911! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey |

Especially with the Porsche aero kit!! The RAC even had to invest in low angled flat beds to get them onto the truck! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey |
