New Supercharged!!!

Guys,

I couldn't resist, I've just put a deposit on a 2005 Supercharged. It's lightly accident damaged, not recorded, needs new panels down passenger side, plus door panel where airbag went off. That's the bad news!

The good news is the price, which is ridiculously cheap, and the fact that it's only done 75k miles, it's a one owner car with full history.

It's black with grey leather. I've got a quote to get it back as it should be, and it's all stacking up perfectly. I'll get it LPG'd too.

Can anybody by any chance help me with a data check? I have the reg number and VIN, it would be great if anybody has access to build data as well as HPI type stuff, I'm happy to pay, but rather pay trade rates rather than retail.

Cheers,

Just done the status report via ebay, nothing adverse, no former keepers, just plate changes, which all accords with what I was told, so looking great.

The cars going to picked up next week by the guy who'll be doing the work for me, then I've got a two week wait to get it back all completed. Going to be a long two weeks, but worth it to get an S/C again! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Anybody got any tips for when I get the work done? I was tempted to get it face lifted, but on balance I think the S/C looks fantastic anyway. Obviously need all new panels on the nearside, plus some suspension work. Might get the whole car 'blown over' too.

Here she is:

Any tips would be appreciated.

Certainly looks a bargain! Will be great to get it back to its former glory.

I'd advise against facelifting it - it can knacker your insurance and as you say the SC looks great anyway.

Do you know how the vehicle was damaged as the hole in the rear door does look quite bad? I'm concerned you may need a new rear door which is very expensive new. What happened to the suspension do you know - is that accident related?

PS: Happy to look on Microcat for you for build data if you PM me the VIN (can no longer search by reg for some reason). I'm away at the moment until 4th September but will be happy to do it for you on my return!

Not bad, if your getting it resprayed anyway ebay can be your friend as there are some panel parts kicking about but it does take searching for and there are some places breaking FFRR that have been heavily damaged where some panels could be saved to help you out..

I'd also stick with the original SC look as said moving onto a facelift one costs more insurance headaches then you have to fart around with different parts for the front.... it just snowballs eventually...

Based on what I've been told by the seller, £12.5k. Obviously if it's not as described then the deal may fall through, but that's with all the parts priced, labour and paint, including the suspension.

I don't think that's bad for a 1 owner 75k mile Supercharged. It hit another vehicle with the nearside front which pushed it into a drystone wall, causing the nearside damage. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
