Well I didn't know that Stan, last time I went to that market was back in 1992. Once I'm back up and driving it could be worth a nice day out. The only Vulcan I've seen is at RAF cosford, another great day out there. |

Thinking back about the event, photos must exist, because I’m pretty sure we took up an “official “ photographer, either from the RAF or I seem to think from the Manchester Evening News.

When I was a kid we, as family (my Dad was aircraft mad), used to visit numerous airshows. One of the most spectacular was Gaydon (when it was a real RAF base!), the finale was almost always a V bomber scramble, with both Victors and Vulcans. It was probably the loudest thing I've ever experienced. It sounded like constant thunder and you could feel the sound in the air. Words alone cant do it justice. Utterly incredible. Drives:

the vulcan is a incredible but its not as good as the FF in the forefront of my picture..
