They do say it takes a little while for the fluids to flush through properly. Give it a bit of driving and see if it sorts itself out - hope it does! |

Also just to update all… now around 300 miles in since fluid flush and such. Still driving spot on. Will jump back on here if anything changes. Best of luck to everyone else with sorting yours! |

Following this with interest . Whilst mine is a much later model , it does something similar . Like a light thump from underneath , usually 3 thumps , can be from a standstill or from coasting . Had it into main dealer as I thought rear diff, but it’s tight as a drum , no visible leaks . They mentioned arc bushes all shot so replaced all of them and issues still persist . Looks like I’ll be going down the rabbit hole at some point too. Car is only 5 years old and less than 60k miles . Funny that my last one - 2013 sdv8 did the exact same thing though. 2019 SV AB Dynamic Scafel Grey |

So sussex autos have given me a price on reconditioning the torque converter as per rrphils recommendation. I'm happy with that but they don't offer a full bring the car in and we do it service OK no probs.

I went to an Auto Trans place near to me, they said due to my high mileage it wouldn’t be worth doing a flush etc again, best to go new (refurb) box. He said he could tell by symptoms and would be able to confirm with a short drive up the road. Having a general chat with the guy, he’d been doing for years and theses symptoms took a long time to diagnose back in the day, but are well known now. To do the job they would like the car for 7-10 days… 2010 Supercharged |

The gearbox place are making a big deal about "it's not just a plug in we need to check the oil level"

Clearly there’s a ‘vibration’ superimposed on the engine speed trace that isn’t there on the turbine speed but, depending on the x-axis scale (time), this could just be the torsional vibration from the engine firing pulses. When its lock-up clutch is unlocked, the torque converter is an excellent absorber of torsional vibration, so unfortunately I don’t think this tells us much.

While I'm waiting to get back to my mates for another go with the diag plugged in to get some better data for rrphil I set about checking a few other bits with the gap tool.
