Austria 2013 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Barolo Black

@Haylands; had contact with Patrick from GAP. Unfortunately this mod is only possible for the 2017+ L405. So no option for me Big Cry

Think I'm going to try the "Stan-modification" again (disconnecting the rear cubby battery or signal wire to capacitor). When I did this before I got once the "restricted performance" message. I'll be prepared Laughing Laughing Laughing 2013 L405 3.0 TdV6 Autobiography Barolo Black

EDIT: (MY2017 onwards only)

NB: The YouTube Video above from Lucky8 refers to the new Defender L663, for the L405 it’s slightly different:

Ign ON with iiD tool connected, press centre console switch to turn off Auto Start Stop. (No need for engine to be running) Then in iiD Tool Menu>CCF>Full List>Search:

“Multican-566 MHLastUserMode : 565” and select it.

Change value to “Last user memory mode enabled”.

Upload changes.

On cycling the ignition next time the car is started, the button in the centre console will illuminate to indicate ASS is turned OFF, and will remember its last setting each time the ignition is cycled, allowing you to choose whichever way you want it in future. Thumbs Up[/b] “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

@Stan:

You could now reconnect and do the iiD tool mod with your new car, allowing you to turn it back on (and off) at the touch of a button, say if you get stuck in a huge motorway tail-back and don’t want to waste fuel. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

@Stan, thank you for bringing this up again. Wink I plan to disconnect the capacitor signal wire but don't know which one that is. Do you, or someone else possibly have e clear picture of that (location/colorcode)? Or perhaps point me to the right wiring diagram? In which wiring diagram is this capacitor signal wire shown?

@Stan....Been looking in the RHS rear, took away the panel and couldn't find anything like the picture you posted.... Question Question Rolling Eyes Am I looking in the wrong place?
Do you (or someone out there) have any idea where to find the capacitor signal wire. Would be very pleased with a picture of where it is located. Many thanks!! Bow down Bow down Bow down

@Rangie4fun:

You don’t have a capacitor, you have an aux battery instead.
(Its a case of either/or)
Simply disconnect the negative terminal & wrap with insulating material.

Large-bore heatshrink tube works well and is tough. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
