Hi thanks, I've heard bad reports about leds so would rather stay away.

Think that’s in standard headlight units. The L405 has projector units so they aren’t a problem. Up to you obviously.

There is talk of the HID upgrades in that thread too which you will probably prefer then.

And there in lies the problem yes leds are much brighter unfortunately they are too bright it’s mental how bright some of them are and when driving at night and oncoming traffic is so blinding it’s a struggle to see the road

This problem is so poorly understood:
Idiots are fitting these LEDs into reflector headlights (designed for Halogen bulbs) -where the original bulbs had a cut-off plate inside the bulb. The LEDs don’t have this, so its like driving on main beam all the time, blinding oncoming road users.
The FFRR has projector headlights, with a physical cut off blind inside the headlight assembly, rather than inside the bulb. This gives a clean cut-off line on dipped beam, above which the light simply does not shine. The original yellow halogen bulbs on the L405 produce very poor output, even compared to the L322, which previous L322 owners have often complained about.
One caveat is of course on wet roads, where brighter lights will cause more glare off the road surface.
The L405 is also self load-levelling, keeping the headlights in trim, so not one of the worst-offending vehicles out there, unlike my Ford Ranger which comes with blinding headlamps as standard Laughing “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Im completely agree with you on all points, as owner of l322 and l405 after led fitted in on both i stopped looking further to upgade headunits.
If light patern set as it should it returned back with amazing outcome.
But also heard different opinions specially from the persons who had glasses and using them constantly that while driving for more then 2 hours they start tearing…. I think its personal but must try before any conclusions
