L405 Poor heater

Hi all,

Bought my current Autobiography in the summer, now the weather changed i`m realising my heater is useless.
Done thousands of miles in and engine temp is fine.

Front fan control seems to work (front blower sounds a bit stifled!, rear blower sounds normal), pretty well no air flow from the vents, and my legs are always freezing!!

Only code in is for Auxiliary heater water pump- open circuit, B12A6-13

All help welcomed or i`ll re-taxing my old Sport!!

Thx in advance

You could try cleaning this, it's the cabin temp sensor

Does it have the fuel burning heater? If it does there’s a diverter solenoid that stops working (oem item is Bosch and about £120 if you don’t buy from dealer. Was a bit of a pain to get out but warm heater again for me. My Previous RR's!

Thx both,
Just cleaned the cab sensor and I seem to have airflow now!
Will give it a run later and see how warm it gets inside..

I’ll keep this thread updated!

Definitely have a better blower motor now, not as good as i`d expect tbh, but still very poor heat.
I`ll try and get under it and see if have the fuel burning heater, i have a remote for a pre heater so would guess i have ??

Yes if you have the FBH remote then it’ll be fitted. It’s the left side of the engine bay right at the back. This is the solenoid I fitted (diverter valve), much warmer now! It sticks apparently stopping hot water flow through the matrix.
