Hi Guys I thought I would share what happened to my son who lives in Australia,

He has a Mercedes ML 300 parked in his garage at night under his living area, It has a remote opening door, and at the property boundary and he has a metal gate which manually opens/closes and is padlocked at night.

Two nights ago thieves came to take his car they opened the garage door the same way as they beat the security on our cars by highjacking the key fob signal.

As luck would have it they could not move the boundary gate ( too heavy ) but did bend out of shape some metalwork so gave up and left.

He now turns off the garage door lifter at night and has fitted a deadbolt on the door.
