I took my wife to see the Ribblehead viaduct to say she was unimpressed was an understatement, I was alo unimpressed with film photography - I'll stick with digital.

Of course it would get planning permission, they would build the first four or five spans, then scrap the project

I think most are missing the point the Ribblehead was built by the Victorians I suspect the longer ones are newer. Its a bit like comparing the Clifton Suspension bridge with the Humber Bridge Geoff |

The Millau bridge is an incredible bit of engineering especially when seen from the countryside around it. For spectacle, when you’re on it, I think the Pont de Normandie takes some beating.
