With my L405 being the 3.0TDV6, it has the small sliding calipers up front. I’ve always wanted the fixed six pot Brembo ones that the bigger engines variants have.

Seeing as there seems to be some positive interest, I may as well go the whole hog and break down costings before the parcels start arriving.

You had me worried for a while! I checked the eBay listing and they’re definitely 6 pot! I picked the car up three months ago from a main dealer and before collection, they did a big service which included new flexi hoses all round. Also the front pads and discs look relatively new so hopefully everything will pop off ok. I’ve now got Brembo 380mm discs, pads, caliper bolts and caliper hardware. Just waiting on the calipers to come… |

Advisable to upgrade the rear diameters at the same time, to avoid unbalancing the brakes front to rear.

AFAIK, calipers are no different, but the larger diameter disc gives more braking torque.

Just received the calipers and I’ve decided to get them fully refurbed with new bleed nipples, pistons and rubber gaskets.

Just got the calipers back from the refurb company. I’m over the moon with them. Pistons were fine, they just fitted new rubber boots and bleed nipples.
