When you say hard reset do you mean disconnect the battery and touch the positive and negative together?

Hard reset , is the equivalent of switxhing off your computer and re booting it.

So Let the car stand for an hour or so, with No kery in it
Disconnect the battery, negative first , then positive Leave for a couple of hours
Touch the pos & neg leads together and reconnect , negative first.

Re start the motor and turn full lock left and right

That worked for me.

I discovered that the RR infotainment system has a " transport" mode which is what causes it to switch on and off.
The hard reset cured it for me.

Dave

Solved!!!!!

Finally fixed the radio but sadly have lost traffic system TA alerts but not worried about that. Lost the iPod connection which was never used as didn’t work right. But now working radio. So basically the blue wire that feeds the radio was giving 0.34 volts so it was broken. Rerouted a new cable and a second fused adapter cable off fuse 49 (dual fused lead) And ran it to the radio. Don’t know how it happened but finally fixed yay. 😀

New frustrated owner

Hi Everyone. Opening up this thread rather than making ANOTHER one. I've done my research and investigated the issues, to no avail. I have noticed a bluetooth bypass has already been completed by the previous owner, the plug going into the bluetooth module has 2 corroded pins, this is now unplugged. I have red lights in all the optics. My radio display is on, I can choose different stations but I have no sound. Any ideas? Ive checked the fuses, disconnected the battery for 30 seconds. Silence.
Thanks, Paul

On my 2007 FFRR, I'm dealing with the orange flashing light and frozen screen. I ordered a new 1m length of fiber optic cable. The red light goes into and out of the Bluetooth module, but it does not enter the radio module that's next in line - same symptom whether or not I use the MOST loop to bypass the BT module. The cable going into the radio module either has no red light or a very faint red light. So it seems the cable between the BT and radio units is bad. FWIW.
