I had an oil leak on my 2012 Westie and I just decided to change it all, the O rings, the oil coller and gave the whole place a clean. I no longer have a leak. The gasket on the oil cooler gets compressed in certain parts and leaks a fair bit..

Consensus is once you have gone to the trouble of removing the cooler it's best to replace it rather then just the gaskets as they are prone to warping and cracks which means you have to do the job again. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I had to also change the rocker cover gaskets on both banks of the TDV8, one was worse than the other, but whilst we did the tiny o rings (behind the oil cooler ) , and the two oil cooler gaskets, and a few other things, we also replaced the rocker cover gaskets, oil leak gone

I have heard of leaks from the top of the oil pump, there is a small screw that can come loose. Apparently difficult to reach but a simple fix.
