SUCCESS!!!! A more considered approach to filling it up and the other 6l went in with no problems, and the warning messages have gone.

Yet again the FullFat forum justifies the membership cost.

So I was filling up the AdBlue today. I was told by the LR Luxembourg service department to have the car on (not running) to fill it up... I had issues the first time I filled it up.

As I refilled myself yesterday I’d like to summarize answers to most questions that could raise when you want to refill yourself. Hope that helps…

I think the consumption may be tied to the quality of fluid. When I bought my car off a dealer I specified the Ad Blue tank be topped up. I would get random messages pop up about inferior quality Ad Blue and a tank full only lasted 11k miles in spite of the initial message saying it was good for 27k miles. I topped off with Screwfix special and that is lasting over twice as long in terms of time and miles covered. I suspect the dealer could have topped off the tank from a watering can. |
