Where to buy from depends on whether you want genuine filters or not?

Plenty of S&A users on here. I've used their oils for years. Extremely knowledgeable people, very well connected in the industry, and none of the things I've lubed with S&A products have gone bang yet (from lawnmowers to light commercials if it has a hole for lube to go in, I've used S&A in it). Just done my fourth change in a year with S&A oil for my 4.4TDV8. 35K miles since last January when I bought the car, and 34.5K of those have been done on the S&A. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica. Previous V8s: BMW 645Ci, P38 4.6, P38 4.0, Merc CL500 Previous others: Honda x1, Volvo x7, Rover x6, BMW x6, Ford x1, Mercedes x2, Skoda x3, VW x2, Renault x2, Citroen x1, Mazda x3, Nissan x1, Audi x3, Kia x1, Fiat x4, Subaru x3, Austin x2, Triumph x2, Jeep x2, Hyundai x2, Lexus x1, Mitsubishi x1, Saab x2... and some others I've forgotten! |

No problem! Extractor makes the job very easy, you may need to do it in 2 goes as the engine has 10L in it! Although you may not get 10L out, you should definately get just over 9L! Fuel filter - On the official LR servicing schedule (as I understand it), the fuel filter is down for every 2nd service, so every 2 years or 32K miles. I would say if you're doing 8K miles per year, then every 3 years would be fine. Transfer Box - Official LR service schedule states a fluid change every 80K miles. I'd do that for sure. It needs a very specific oil, which you can get from Advanced Factors or genuine oil from a LR dealer. Engine Oil - I use S&A for all my oils - except that is for my (now gone) L322 4.4 TDV8 - I use to use Shell Helix Professional AF-L as I just wanted to put the very best in that engine. Wasn't cheap at around £100+ for 10L, but I just wanted the very best in that engine. Here's the stuff I use to put in my L322 4.4 TDV8 - https://www.shell.co.uk/fuels-oils-and-coo...5w-30.html Nothing wrong with S&A though and they use Shell base stock oils. It was just my personal choice in that car. 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue 2014 Disco 4 HSE =================== Both my fatties now gone... Just go with Opie Oils - can get all the parts on there including the OEM, and they are a reasonable price across the board.
