Hello everyone! I'm resurrecting this thread because I have been forced to download and update the Remote app to version 2.18.3 - and it doesn't effin' work!

Works fine on a Samsung S21 (Android OS v14), no issues, but obviously this information is no help to you, sorry. Will almost certainly be down to combability with your rooted Android underlying OS. |

Obviously you meant -
Cracking phone I'll have you know Sir! It has some features that make me reluctant to part with it - like the fingerprint recognition is built into the on/off button on the back so it's in a perfect natural position for one handed print recognition. Double tap screen to wake/sleep. Quad DAC built in - the sound quality is stunning and it will play 24bit files. Fantastic OLED screen. Wireless charging (how old-fashioned is that?) REMOVABLE STORAGE with microSD slot - read and weep you iphone slaves! Camera not perfect but guess what? - I have a camera to take pictures with. And of course its easily rooted to update security software, and has USB C socket so I don't have to change my phone (like when Apple changes the charging port.) This is the first time I've had issues and I don't think it's down to the root, as all previous versions worked fine on the same phone. Plus you can hide the root using Magisk rooting app, which works even for banking apps. I have noticed from many forums (fora?) of others getting the same error message. The last thing is that I've installed a small charging device in the drinks holder - not the RR version, but one that sits in the slot between the two cup holders, and I just slip the phone in there and get charging, Android Auto etc. And it's a phone, not an extension of my frail and timid personality, so I don't need to upgrade just because some fancy advert tells me I should Anyway, enough of the defensive mumbling - anyone else had similar issues? Oh, last thing - has anyone tried ringing Land Rover customer services recently.? The line just has a message saying the service is closed, and there's no live chat button, AND the email address just bounces back. Clearly JLR don't want to speak to their customers |
