Battery replacement 4.4 SDV8 2014

My SDV8 2014 has no start&stop. Have I to reset the battery after replacement or not ? I think this is just needed when a start&stop is equipped. Is there any requirement on the battery type ? Or can I buy one with same dimensions Ampers and Ah and connect ?

I believe you will need to tell the ECU that the battery has been replaced as the charging regime is different for new batteries.

OK being a bit pedantic, but I think it's the BMS that's interested in whether you have a new battery or not. Nothing to do with stop/start. Ideally tell it but it will work it out for itself after a while.

Mine, same model/year non stop start, has two batteries, you may have as well.

Both batteries are AGM type. Chris

Dont forget that any competent garage can plug it in and tell the car its had a new battery ,it doesnt have to go to LR. overfinch modified

I think with IID Tool I can set the new batteries. I'm not shure, my voltage actual is arround 12.2 V. After 5 minutes with ignition on it is below 12V . Maybe I have to replace them soon.
