Got a really strange one on my 2010 5.0 SC AB. When I turn left, I get a sound which is like a faint football whistle which seems to be coming from the passenger side footwell or thereabouts. Only does it when turning left!

Unless there’s a weird noise transmission going on, I’d say it’s definitely not the PAS belt, or the rack (and it’s only left anyway, and doesn’t need to be on full lock for the noise to appear). Definitely seems to be inside the car. Otherwise everything is fine and the car drives perfectly.

Any ideas? 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

My blower fan makes a slight squeel when I make a right turn, guessing the bearings are wearing. Could it be the same on yours ?? Also own a 1976 Land Rover 101 3.5 V8.
Previously owned 1991 Range Rover Vogue 3.9 V8.

Yes that’s a possibility, it’s certainly the right sort of noise. I’ll try with the fan off later and see if that makes any difference, thanks. 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

Full marks landy95 I tried it this morning with the fan switched off and no noise! Thanks for that, at least it's nothing major, and nothing which a bit more radio volume won't cure!! 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

After my fan started squeezing it took a month for it to stop working...
