My blower fan makes a slight squeel when I make a right turn, guessing the bearings are wearing. Could it be the same on yours ?? Also own a 1976 Land Rover 101 3.5 V8.

Yes that’s a possibility, it’s certainly the right sort of noise. I’ll try with the fan off later and see if that makes any difference, thanks. 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new.... |

Full marks landy95 I tried it this morning with the fan switched off and no noise! Thanks for that, at least it's nothing major, and nothing which a bit more radio volume won't cure!! 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new.... |

I purchased a complete set of wheel bearings 2 years ago when it first started, thinking it must be the ns front. I turned the blower off one day and it was silent. The fan is still working just a bit squeaky on right hand bends. And I have a full set of wheel bearings should the need arise to replace them. I'm glad you found the issue.
