I was advised not to mix and stay with JLR coolant if thats whats in it, thats my only advice. |

Thanks, I've since found some 'Comma" brand at a local factors and it says in the description it's suitable for the L405 engine.

You could just top it up with water initially. That wouldn't make much difference to the dilution factor of the coolant / antifreeze. V8 or else ... |

I've got a lot of Halfords OAT in mine... I hope it's OK.

Likewise. To me, as long as you're not mixing the wrong type of coolant ( blue / green stuff ) into the system, then generally it should be fine. I cant think of anything particularly special about the 4.4 compared to other engines which use OAT ... at the end of the day its a ford block. I cant see Ford developing something outwith the normal envelopes of standard cooling fluids for domestic engines. V8 or else ... |
