Sorry, I'm not painting them this time as I am on a time limit, if I did I would probably go for black...
I will post pictures again tomorrow.

For those who replaced the wear sensor. Do I need to remove the whole inner cover or can I remove the one fastener (just by the wire and holding the 2 panels) and do the job? If I have to remove the whole cover how many fasteners are there? It looks like 6 in the workshop manual. But I can also see a screw. SDV8 AB MY 2020

List of Tasks left to do. I need to finish by Tuesday night. So I am happy i got some done today. I am hoping the local LR garage has the bolts and screws in stock.

Driver's Side
1. Fit wear sensor (front wheel liner)
2. Replace and torque the disc screw
3. Torque the calliper bolts
4. Fit pads, pins, spring and bolts
5. Fit wheels and torque bolts

Passager Side
1. Remove the disc screw (I hope the impact screwdriver works) - was told drilling could be the solution
2. Remove calliper
3. Remove disc
4. Clean the matting surface
5. Temp refit calliper to clean
6, Fit the disc
Then follow steps 2-5 from above. SDV8 AB MY 2020

I didn’t paint anything, it all came like that!
My lovely double garage (see other threads) is now a tart’s boudoire “gym” with soft rubber floor (ooh-err missus), treadmill, bench etc., so I dare not spray anything in there except tans. Laughing

Sorry, slightly OT there, Embarassed “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

So I am off to the garage to buy new screws and bolts.

The disc screw didn’t move. So I had to drill in out. All of the treads are still intact.

Was fitting the wear sensor from EBC they have the wire routing rubbers in another place. Do I will take the old one to the garage to see what they have.

But now it should be simply putting it all back together. SDV8 AB MY 2020

The disc screw which I drilled and thought the threads were are ok. They aren’t. I have borrowed a tap but it isn’t going working. Read that screw is only for putting it all together. So will skip for the moment and get that sorted later. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Without wanting to appear pedantic, the retaining spring is not quite located into the two retaining pins correctly, may not make any difference in practice but probably worth shifting it across so it locates into the rebated sections 👍 Jonathan

the replacement pins are shorter than the ones I took out. I can't get the pins in further. I will check with the parts at the local LR garage. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So I need the kit LR113962 and not LR016683.
Which has the longer pins?
So I will now see if I can get it. SDV8 AB MY 2020
