That kind of concurs with what my MD parts mate was saying about buy backs. Obv. no use to me, but good to know. Do you have any reccomendations for builders, my only concern is, I do lots of miles (60K since I bought it), so reliability is no.1 on my list.

and you bought a land rover ? ( Sorry ... I really couldn't resist ) Seriously though, I think your comment about assessing the damage is the most prudent in the first instance. Rip it out, strip it apart and see what is actually damaged, and take it from there. A very quick glance around suggests that main bearings etc are available. V8 or else ... |

Just remember what ever you decide to do, the main thing is you'll need to remove that swarf! The easy bit will be fixing the main problem. Leave just a small amount and you'll be back to square one in no time!

There have been good reports about a company called QP online the are based in Maidstone they only mainly do JLR stuff I think main dealers use them,

QP Online are who I'd use. Seen lots of good feedback etc. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Not sure an engine from a RR that's been used as a stunt car and has a roll cage fitted is for me, probably not had the easiest of lives L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |
