ATPC retrofit

Does anyone know what components are required for ATPC? Want to know if it can be retrofitted in a MY2015.5 SDV8 AB.

for those who dont know what atpc is,

ATPC refers to All Terrain Progress Control, a system in Land Rover vehicles that acts as a low-speed "cruise control" for off-road driving, allowing the driver to focus on steering while the system manages engine output and brakes for controlled movement ... - .- -.

Looks like it may not be doable Sad “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Thanks Gremlin but not sure where it states it can't be done on the MY2015 L405. The defender has a complete different setup on the electronics as far as I know.

I can't find any hardware that is different for car's with or without ATPC, even though I haven't really checked all the components of the yet... I do know it needs a button for it so the assembly for the gear knob and drive mode wheel needs to be replaced.

Ok, so after doing way too much digging I realised I (of course not) don't need to replace the gear and that there are an insane number of versions of the drive the drive mode control.

However, I think I found the one I need. It specified specifically on these what functions they have; Auto Response/Response, Start/stop - no start/stop, ATPC/no ATPC.

Hill decent control and Auto Response is available for me so by changing to control unit that as those plus ATPC could do the trick. I can't find anything else in the engine, gearbox, transfer case or electronic modules that are different. Hope someone can confirm.

Why do I wan't ATPC? For deep snow driving Thumbs Up

So, the reason you want ATPC on soft slippery surfaces like snow and sand is that it actually adjusts the speed and car settings to how slippery the surface is. Secondly I don't think the regular cruise control can be set to speeds this low. A human foot is definitely not sensitive enough when there is ice and the road is steep.

This is at least my understanding but would be great if someone with more experience could share their view and experience with the system.
