Do it, they wear their miles incredibly well if looked after. My view on the cars with more miles on, especially a FFRR, if it's fit enough to do the miles, it cant have had too many long layups in a garage.

high mileage is never an issue and it always bugs me that garages want to charge a premium for a low miler when all it offers is slightly less wear on the seats.

History tells us low mileage cars can be a nightmare, I have more issues with my 4 sports cars that do less than 500miles each a year than my L405/L460 that do thousands every year. The key to everything is maintenance in my view.

Yes, I hear you, but the missus *needs* a new motor as her Japanese commuter is now knackered after 7 years faithful service. Now... I could just buy her a new motor and keep the L322, shelling out cash for her wagon. Or... I can trade the L322 in (he's offered me a very good price) against her new motor, and since she understands I cannot be without a Ranger, she is letting me get the L405. You see what I did there? |

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the V6 fan club, I take it you have done your research on the alleged V6 Crank problem? |

Point 1, The V8 gets all the stability control gubbins and the V6 does not! This makes a fair amount of rear seat passengers travel sick... Point 2, as said above, the V6 seams to have more than its fair share of catastrophic failures! Point 3, why do you want an HSE? It's a base model! You'll have lots of blank switches, like the ford Orion's & Cavalier's back in the day lol... But seriously,,, Worth thinking about spec! You'll be coming out of an AB Black and into an HSE! |

Hi All, slight off track…I am after the ‘SDV8’ badge. From the above picture posted I can order 16098G or 16098H in order to get the badge with other decals.

I have no idea why I said that. It’s a Vogue SE which is a decent spec for sure. I think only the Autobiography and some limited editions are higher. And of course the L405 does represent an advance on the L322 I had thanks to the passage of time. Sorry for the confusion. I have been medically diagnosed with TTS … that’s terminal syndrome. |
