I believe that is a problem with the diesel V6 only, this Vogue SE is a petrol supercharged. No known issues with that engine. It’s the AJ-V8 block with 2 pots unused. She sounds lovely.

Sorted then…. I think folk, myself included, assume diesel if nothing is mentioned….

I’m sure you will enjoy that if you get the deal done.

A fair assumption, I did only say 3.0L V6. Just like the old Essex motors in the Sweeney.
The deal is now done, just waiting a collection date. I shall update everyone after my first journey!!
😊📈

For the benefit of new readers of this thread, the “V6 Crank” problem is not the only issue to consider, there are several, associated with different models/engines, not all engine related, but which can also result in a “write-off” situation, depending on the age/value of the vehicle.

To name a few, roof drain issues sometimes resulting in vehicle write-off, where an AB or SE spec vehicle has an opening panaramic roof drain blockage resulting in multiple electronic module failures. There are equally instances of failed V8 diesel and V8 petrol engines for mechanical or other system failures, such as turbocharger or supercharger.

There is the similarly expensive issue of ARC/ACE system pipework expensive failure in SE/AB specification vehicles with adaptive suspension.

Caveat Emptor, or:

Sometimes, “Less is more” “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

The variety of issues you can encouter with a Range Rover is one of the reasons we love them. You can't have all those toys, supreme cruising comfort, road presence and yet retain best-in-class off-road ability without having some downside!

If you want an easy life, buy a Toyota!
