if it's a diesel it will definitely have a FBH (fuel burning heater)/Aux heater - they all do as standard. It is used primarily to heat the engine/coolant on starting as the 4.4 TDV8 is a cool running engine. However if you have a receiver in the boot (not sure about the L405, but in the 322 it's on the right) then you do have the facility but it will need a transmitter (91 version?).

It'll likely have an FBH, but it doesn't put its heat into the cabin air directly. As above, it heats the coolant, which will take time to get to a temp where it'll start putting noticable heat into the cabin through the heater matrix.

I believe that's to reduce cabin noise and for reduced emissions. Gotta save the planet and all that. In a V8 strikes me about as impactful as a pea on a mountain. |
