I was recalibrating my ride height following some work on the car, and had the same error as you.
I fixed the error eventually by killing the app on my phone, unplugging the IIDTool, then starting again. I may have reset the height via the dash controls too… but not quite sure on that bit.

I second JayGee’s comment about the guided adjustment being problematic. I had no issues with the front wheels, however the rears would not deflate. It’s possible that both down and up stop when over heating, and I didn’t realise… but had no issues adjusting the height using those dash buttons immediately afterwards.

Even the manual mode seemed to not want to lower the cars rear.

My final solution was to guess the reduction, save and exit recalibration, and finally raise and then lower the car to normal height. I got there eventually!

Lastly, don’t forget to go to service, suspension, and enable tight tolerance mode when calibrating. (And don’t forget to put it back to normal when done) Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Height calibration doesn’t need tight tolerance mode. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

First clear all faults & then rescan. Wait & see if any come back, if they do, you can then google each code Thumbs Up

Re: Guided Height Calibration - error code E17

I rewatched the YouTube by Sam on this and can see what you mean by changing the ride height setting. Unfortunately I never get that far in the guided procedure due to the E17 error. I might give it another go later on today.

Here’s the link to YouTube for the benefit of anyone else trying this https://youtu.be/9ot3L4CHPd4

UPDATE Feedback from GAP says Error code E17 is due to the ECU being requested to exceed its maximum adjustment range of 250. After calibration mine was 254. The root cause is likely to be a mechanical failure of the height sensor mounts or rod.

I’ve just tried to test and fuel prime my FBH but I’m getting an error message E3. Anyone know what that is?

Also - whilst going through the menus, I went into calibration and found > cruise control > adaptive align. Thinking it was something that might need updating I selected it. Now I’ve lost forward alert and it’s flashing constantly on the dash. Anyone know how I can reverse this?

Thanks 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Even having an issue for a while, GAP IID tool gives me P0046-77.

I’ve had many suggestions from sticking actuators, faulty sensor to a leaking/split pipe on the charged side of the system.

I have spent many hours trying to find a damaged pipe, and have replaced the 4 hoses on the air intake.

How the car is driven doesn’t seem to have any resemblance on when the fault will happen, has even happened while the car is sat at idle, but it typically happens about 6 minutes into the journey and goes into restricted performance. Clearing the fault usually clears the restricted performance but still shows the fault.

I’ve had journeys where it may go into restricted performance with the red triangle 2 or 3 time over 30 miles and other times when I’ve had to reset it literally hundreds of times to clear the restricted performance.

I have tried some live monitoring, and have observed what I think is the MAP voltage (should have take a screen shot to share what I was watching) but it didn’t seem to fluctuate much under load, staying within 0.1v of 1.3v

Does anyone know if you can watch the MAP sensor, if so what I need to watch, and what the voltage should do ant idle and under load.

Is it still the case that you can read and clear faults on a car that isn’t registered to the tool?
I recently went to look at a L405 and when I plugged my G2 iidtool in, it connected but said “this vehicle is not registered”. I was sure this was something that worked a while back. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yep, it says the vehicle isn't registered but it will read and clear codes if you ask it, it's just the CCF etc that needs payment.... Thumbs Up Pete

Ah ok, maybe I should have persevered with it, I just assumed it wouldn’t read the fault codes. I can’t remember if it gave me the option. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Another quick question. I think I know the answer to this but wanted to be sure, is it only the G3 version that is supported for the MY17> L405? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Hi,

there was a list on the GAP Tinternet site that gave the details of the vehicles covered by each model,
worth a check on there but ISTR something about 2017 onwards for G3.

Thumbs Up
