Fair enough. Amazon says that these all fit my vehicle. Which one would you choose?

Well, well! So i set off early this morning for a long drive to Leeds, with a 70%+ trigger, and as soon as I hit the dual carriageway in about 5 mins or so, the alarm went, status went to 2, and regen percentage up to 100%. Luckily I managed to keep moving all the way to the motorway about 15 mins later where the regen finished, with the regen % dropping to the high teens then 9%.

I’ve set my Soot trigger alarm at 50%, and if everything else is “right”, i.e. engine oil at least 90C, exhausts at least 250C, tank at least 1/4 full etc etc, one hard sustained boot of the loud pedal say up the motorway slip road, will invoke the regen.

Just found this thread while searching for help with oil dilution. My Mrs drives the car everyday and a lot of short journeys. Is there an easy way to monitor regeneration? She won’t have a clue with the app running. Any way of an alarm to tell her to keep driving ? Just about ready for the 5th oil and filter change in a year, I only drive it at the weekend at best

James, you can get the "Kot Kit" as we have, and just pop out nightly or whatever to check soot level - you don't even have to drive the car, just turn the ignition on. After a week or two, the soot will eventually get close to 50%, then it needs to go for a blast, so at 50% drive slowish to the nearest M-way allowing it to warm up properly, then hit the motorway watching for regen starting and waiting until it's finished, usually about 15-20mins of non-stop driving above about 40mph. The regen indicator will go from "0" to "2" but anyway, you will see the exhaust temp quickly start to climb from 250C to around 650C! “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that? |

Yes I unplug mine too, I thought it would go to sleep but stood outside the car several hours after switch off and could still connect and read values. So I disconnected. Weirdly, if left in, it also stops my auto access height activating, you I open the door to get out. FFRR SDV8 Autobiography |

My “distance since last regen” also seems to be in meters, I can’t find default units. I can find units, but there’s no mention of m or “none” (I have the pro version). Could you please talk me through this? Thanks very much 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey |
