Think about it...

Range Rover
Range Rover Sport

As 'the' Range Rover doesn't have a model designation (although many call it a Vogue) I can see why people not in the know make the mistake.

Totally agree. I've lost count of the amount of times that friends family and even strangers ask why didn't I get the 'better' sport version!! Had a few sport drivers making out there's is a better model. I now tend to drive past them now with my window down shouting "GET A PROPER RANGE ROVER". It makes me feel good inside Thumbs Up

Nope, the made a FFRR into a Stormer replica, they even said it would have been easier using a Sport instead of a full fat.

You are close mate but you have got it mixed up, they used a sport but said it would of been better to use the FFRR, the reason being is the original stormer had the same bonnet as a FFRR and not the flat topped one as fitted to the Sport.

Daz Thumbs Up

Oh and on a side note, being an old Sport owner and a current D3 owner I have already been tempted by the FFRR and may get one once the MY10 FFRR's come down to a reasonable price, I was never a fan of the dash on the older FFRR's and have never worked out why they seem to sell for less than similar aged Sports despite having a greater spec list, when I sold my 08 HST I could have easily got the same aged FFRR for less despite it far higher original price.......go figure!

Silly question, of course there's no contest !
Laughing Only kidding, they are two good vehicles totally aimed at different drivers.

However, would the sport be quite as popular if it were 20K more and at the same price of the FFRR ?

hmm, now that's sure to open a discussion........ Arrow

(20K refers to new to new price, I'm not sure on used values for like for like models - what can you save ?)

oh dear! looks like the Sporties have tossed their handbags out of the pram :-

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic22649.html

no matter how you dress it up its still a RR for the girlies, we are running 7 RR's including Sports and the Sports are just far too small, everybody always jumps for the FFRR - there is little difference accommodation wise between a Freelander and a Sport.

There is no way on earth we could fit 5 stocky men, guns cartridges and gun dogs in the rear of a Sport, it just isn't going to happen - for a road going car or a ladies RR they are fine though

I guess Size Matters!

Wow they really are an angry bunch. Shocked

Maybe that's why a sport cut me up the other day - I only smiled at him & was doing the speed limit Embarassed

I thought we were basically discussing what we prefer about our choice of vehicle - do they really never talk to each other about how they prefer the sport to a vogue ?

what a shame it's all been taken in such a wrong way.

Should we set up a truce or a dual ! Welly boots at the ready Rolling with laughter

Come on guys we like your cars too, we just chose the one we like best as did you. Thumbs Up
