I’d say you’ve caught that well in time - need to remove the inner plastic wheel arch to check behind in the same area, a few different panels join here and damp gets into the seams. I suspect there’ll be similar early stage rust, looks to be all very treatable from that photo though Jonathan

got to address a similar issue myself and was looking at the only seller who currently make replacement panels for the sill and about died when they quoted £305 per pair.

Someone's had to make the former and get them created, I don't think £300 for a pair of replacement arch panels is unreasonable if it's made in decent steel of a proper thickness. |

I noticed my first bit of small bubbling on both rear arches when opening the doors after the wet weather at the weekend, yet to take the plastic panels off but a quick picture from under that area does not look fun. Hoping it’s not too big a job once it’s investigated.

I noticed that my inner wings seem very rusty, especially drivers side, is this as common as the arches going? I know there must be a mutual rust relationship between them…
