United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

Unfortunately a lot of my early pictures were deleted, but most come from the workshop manual.
I have got hundreds stored on my iPad but no way of knowing which that one was.
Hope this one is useful.

Hi MikeyP

Its 2022 and my TDv8 inlet manifold has cracked in exactly the same plane

Judging my my trawl of the net and reports by my friendly dealer, this is not an isolated problem,

I have written to JLR and they have as suspected tried to align with my warranty which ran out in 2015
Frankly I would like to hear from all those who have had to fix this obvious design and materials negligence.

I do not relish spending 1600 euro on a replacment for something that has such a weak life span.
I am advised by Island 4 x 4 that it was upgraded in 2013 with the L405
Discovery 4 drivers also has a similar spate of problems.

Can anyone shed light on who exactly manufactures this part as I may want to sue them also if JLR deop the ball

I might add I've been a LR owner for 45 years and have a stable of 5 restored vehicles from the age when cars which broke down could be fixed without the aid of plastic parts!

Can it be repaired by pinning it back together along the seam with some self tapping screws similar to what has been done to my plenum?

I've got a spare that I've cleaned and I'm going to reinforce the seams in the same way before I put it on. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Evening all, an old thread i know.

One of those four hoses on mine has split.

Does anyone have the mpn for them? From reading this there are new ones?

And i am assuming the manifold, doughnut, needs to come off to fit as theres limited space. Could someone point me on thendirection for instruction to remove the doughnut please. Cheers

James

James

Replacement of the four short hoses may be done with silcone hose rather than JLR parts. IIRC it's 75mm diameter and buy a length to cut along with some good suitably sized hose clips. Quite a few on here have done that successfully with these and other hoses. (and you can use fancy colours if you wish)

Have a search on here for the correct diameter and also someone may be along with suppliers. A net search brings up lots. Cheers

Hi James

Not sure if you have sorted replacement hoses yet, I think the part number of the 4 hoses you are after are LR056285.

As it happens I have 4 brand new in the garage I’ve been trying to sell if you’re interested?

I only have them spare because I’d just changed all 4 a couple of months before the inlet split and I couldn’t get the centre inlet plenum without them!
