i've been following this thread from the start and my tdv6 ride has been ok until recently where i think i caught this 'ride virus'

I do think its low Recordman but without comparisons for others I can't confirm if it is low for an l405 |

the tech bulletin before suggested a link to heavy steering and stop/start and talked about a low voltage dip from the stop/start process tricking the steering control into a mode that made it heavy. As I understand it,when the car stops the engine, one of the determining factors to re-starting ( other than releasing the brake pedal to start moving again ) is low battery voltage … and when it then re-starts that’s going to dip the voltage even further. I cant see why that couldn’t also be the case for general low voltage + 1st crank situations on a cold morning. V8 or else ... |

I think that NorthernMonkeyJones hits the nail on the head with the usual causes of a harsh ride. This is for those who have a consistent frustration on the ride quality, and is a good guide for people to follow when working through their issues.

There is no "necessity" to inform the FF it has a new battery, it will help in the short term but after a while it relearns all on it's own..... Pete
