what to use-removing old glue from doors

Just starting to tart up my 'spare' FFRR for the summer.

Have taken off the old black plastic door protectors. They were held on by a mixture of things looking at the residue - original soft rubber adhesive, gorilla glue and some white crusty stuff.

Have given a quick rub over with petrol but not much shifting.

any advice on getting rid the gunk? products/tools/techniques?

Also what is best to spruce up the black A,B and D door finishers?

Many thx.
DB

For the thick build up of adhesives, after solvent, try using fishing line to cut most of it off.
As for removing adhesive, one of the best products I have used is orange based De-solv-it 'Sticky stuff remover' ( once you have a thin layer of adhesive left )

As for the door post finishers, I remember a member on here posted about using C4 Trim restorer, saying the results were very good. I can't remember who, and can't find the post Embarassed

As for which solvent, as above, tar remover seems to work, especially if you can find some gel type as opposed to fluid, then you can leave some on for a while. Thumbs Up
