I've just bought some Lanoguard but tend to agree with the above and wished I'd followed my instinct and used good old Waxoil!!
I never thought of asking myself why it needs reapplying after 12 months.
Perhaps I've followed others enthusiasm like a sheep!!!! Pun intended.

this is the main picture for the promotion of lanoguard explaining why sheep have so much oil in their fleeces it is what they get up to the more energetic things they do in turn makes more oil that is produced. i bet no one has ever thought about what sheep breed makes the best oil is it heard wicks from Cumbria or the good old well-known Dorset ewe

kevinp why don't you use the sheep oil in places like around the engine bay inside the bonnet front panel and .inside the door areas behind the door panels when you remove them? around the tailgate hatch inside the lower tailgate in places it does not get so much wear and is a lot cleaner to use in the above areas. that is where I shall use mine when it comes new vehicle purchase

Yes oggy, good idea. I did a thorough waxoiling when I first got the car to the chassis and box sections.
I've recently put all new suspension arms, drop links etc on and they are rusting already.
I'll try the Lanoguard on the new parts and see how it does.

hi DrRob the fixings i used are . 6mm x 25 mm od washers. and the fixings are called hexagon head self-tapping screws size 6 x 19 mm and I got new lot of plastic clips for the very rear fixings. the rear arch strip that is being used in the vid the chap cuts it in 2 which you don't have to you can run it from the back to the front in one piece. the return lip on the arch I masked a line on the outer edge just retuning the masking tape underside then removing any places that had paint peel etc . then put on a coat of epoxy resin let it dry the next day put a bead of seam sealer a pu sealer like tiger seal on the return edge and smoothed it out with my finger then a second coat of epoxy resin the seam sealer helps the barbs on the u trim grip and holds it in place. and also the seam sealer helps with any stones etc hits that instead of the paintwork . new vehicle purchase
