Incontrol app frozen/not speaking to the car

As title really, it has worked fine for the last three weeks since I collected it, I went to the tip yesterday and the boot was open for 20 minutes, the app sent me a message notifying me the boot was open and the app has been stuck at this point since. No journeys are being recorded and no notifications when in guardian mode and I open doors etc.

I've logged off all accounts and back on again, had a long (10sec press) of the LRA button in the roof console but nothing.

Any ideas or does it need intervention from LR? First time FFRR owner

How annoying. I can only think to delete the app, reinstall it and log in again.

Otherwise get on the phone, I have found then to be helpful in the past.

thanks JM, ive deleted and reinstalled the app with no joy. I'll ring LRA tomorrow. They may be able to help with the SIM not working too. First time FFRR owner

I had similar issue, the car was showing parked at the last service station I had visited 50 mile away, and could not get it to work. Next day it was the same.
I charged the car battery and also did a DTC check and there was a telemetric fault, once reset and cleared, and with a charged battery it started to work.

I use Autel AP200 https://www.autelstore.co.uk/wholesale/aut...anner.html

cheers Kot, I don't have a code reader (yet), surely LRA will be able to assist with any of that. It shouldn't have any issues with battery condition, its had some decent runs (including a 2 hour run today).

I'm up early tomorrow and the remote cabin heat would have been nice.

Edit - Autel ordered. First time FFRR owner

Arch
If you have warranty then of course your dealer can fix it.

I also have warranty, but usually they cant give out a next day/week appointment, usually its for 3 weeks in the future, I couldn't wait that long Rolling with laughter so i used the scanner and TCU fault was detected, and then erased, it cleared and it worked for me never been back since Thumbs Up

I now have a different Incontrol issue, and now need a VSS update (Vehicle shared secrets) but they cant do it until 27th Feb.

I love my Range Rover.

It made me get into a cold car this morning because I couldn't use the remote pre heater as the app had locked, I had a trip into Manchester and back, (lovely relaxing drive btw) and it is all unlocked, unfrozen and working as if nothing had happened.

I might treat it to a good clean for being a good RR. First time FFRR owner

Hi Arch:

Amazing how LR managed to fine-tune the reliability of the App to closely match that of the car Rolling with laughter

Hmmm, I wonder if the App requires a fully-charged battery in order to perform correctly?
Could be just like the car…………. Whistle Mr. Green “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I've had / am having the same issue.

Bought the subscritiption a week after purchasing the car and it worked fine for a month - Then it just stopped.

I get a meesage on the app that "The onbpard telematics system is currently in sleep mode to help preserve the battery. To refresh the data please start the vehicel"

That was 3 months ago and I have done plenty of long jouirneys so the battery would be fully charged (no other battery related faults appear anyway)

I've also cleared the fault codes and nothing - I even tried to remove the car from my account and the LR systems seems to have stuck at "The request to remove has started but not completed yet" (or similar) - I suspect the module is fubar now.

Planning to go to the garage for another warranty issue with my non deployable, deployable side step so will ask them to look at it then. Ash

Hi comports, it could possibly be faulty telematics control unit. There are a few thing you can do to reset it and see if will reboot. Locate unit ( normally behind n/s c pillar trim) unplug the unit and remove the internal battery. Give it ten minutes and refit it, clear all dtc,s. This might then boot up. Also uninstall and reinstall the app and follow the sos button reset. If after that it still refuses to work May need new unit ( which were and are still possibly on back order)

Thanks M11

The only thing behind the NS C Pillar is this....

I did remove it and openit up but there was no internal battery - I suspect this is not the telematics module. Big Cry

At least I know how to remove the C pillars now though Laughing

Any other ideas where I might it..??

Thanks Ash
