Thanks all

Found the module (eventually got it out), removed the battery for + 10 mins and cleared the fault codes.

Sadly no change - still says last seen over 3 months ago. 😥

Will be taking it into a garage for a warranty claim. Ash

Hi Folks...

Bringing back this thread as I'm still stuggling with this. It's still in sleep mode and won't wake up.

* I have deleted the app and reinstalled,
* removed the car from the account - but it won't actually complete that process - still says "Removal of vehicle has started, but is not yet complete." - its been about 5 months so far..!
* have spoken to LR themselves, who investigated their end and have said its not someting they can fix remotely (presumably meaning its not account related) and need to book it in.

I can't find a non main dealer garage that can diagnose the issue. RAC warranty said they will cover the work but only to £50 for diagnosis - LR charge £170 per hour but won't go through RAC warranty.

It seems so wrong that I paid over £1k for the warranty but almost can't use it... Evil or Very Mad

Is my only option to bite the bullet and pay LR dealer prices to investigate it or does anyone know a good indy LR specialist in sunny Essex that might be able to help.?

Thanks in advance as always Ash

not sure on your route to success, be mindful I have there LR warranty and it was reported to them last month and we are waiting still for a module. I'lll message them again today and see whether there is any sign of it but if the LR dealers cant get the fix/module, there seem little point in you splaffing cash on investigating yet if the modules aren't available to fix. I'll keep you updated. First time FFRR owner

Thanks Arch,

I guess I need to speak to the warranty firm - I just wamt to make sure they ahve registered the issue as the warranty expires end of August.

At least I can get it diagnosed and confirm with them tha they will cover the replacement (if required) even though the warratny would have expired. In general I think they do as the claim was made whilst in cover. Ash

Did you ever DTC check it? was there a TCU fault? Or did dealer do it and have ordered module as they have seen its faulty?

Its just mine escalated from a TCU fault that could be cleared and all was working, to my comments in this thread Big Cry What an epic session that was.

I couldn't tell you sorry Kot, I took it too them while it was in for some new oil, asked them to look at it and if they didn't tell me exactly what it was, I wasn't paying enough attention to remember it. First time FFRR owner

@COmports

You wrote : 7th Feb 2023 that you removed the battery and put it back.

Get a new battery (chargeable..) and put that it...

And the dealer can remove your account, as they are supposed to do when

a car gets a new owner. Actually at trading in, since it needs to loose the

home adress of the previous owner and his trips when recorded.. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

@comports

I assume its in case the car 'goes-to-sleep' .

It is the same idea as any PC-motherboard.

I even have these in my CCTV DVR/NVR's at home.

Its not expensive to change, but might cure it.. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

Really sorry if this is well off the mark but my app stopped tracking anything because my SIM card expired. When I got a new SIM installed, it started working again. The only time it would occasionally update was if it managed to hook onto the house wifi FFRR SDV8 Autobiography

No need to be sorry James - good question

But I have never had a sim card subscription for the car - I don;t think its required for the basic operation of the telematics system.

It would be required for the tracker I think but other can correct me if i'm wrong...? Ash

For the tracker you need a 'secure' subscription.

The sim you fit is for traffic info and onboard wifi.

You actually don't need it if you use your phone as a hub.

OTA updates generally don't work anymore before 2018my.

Since JLR used 3G connectivity that died in 2020. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

OK

I have no sim in the car. No idea how to use my phone as a hotspot for the car but probably don't need it

I do have another year of my 2 year subscritpion to incontrol (didn't bother with the secure one)

Ordered the battery and should be here tomorow so will try that first. Ash

If you live in a rural area, or just never get stuck in traffic, you indeed don't miss anything.

But if you pay for map updates, you would also get traffic info. Setting up your phone as

a hotspot is no rocket science if you would need it. Its true that above a certain age it gets

a bit more difficult to grasp these concepts. But any teenager can help you out.. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black
