You need to know the codes that are being stored to know why the suspension is inactive.

dhallworth's post seems to be spot on, ( As usual )all I can add is that 'IF' the compressor efficiency has reduced, possibly due to wear, some of these compressors can be overhauled with a new piston ring kit etc, if required, this could save you a lot of money, especially if you do the job yourself. |

Spoke with my mechanic, it’s intermittently producing the code for failure to build pressure, so you were spot on.

Not sure which compressor is fitted to your car, as mine is a 2006, but here are some links to possible overhaul kits, by chance I had just been looking at buying a kit to store in the garage for when the weather is better, as mine is original and it is now 17 years old.
