radiator change 4.4TDV8

HI all

I have a coolant leak that looks like it is coming from the radiator. I have phoned all my local LR dealers/ specialists and they all have a 3 week wait minimum to be able to see it need the car for work so i am looking at doing it myself!

does anybody have a link to a guide or a you tube video of how to do it? I am relatively handy but it will just be done in front of the house with normal tools.

pretty annoying as only had the car 2 weeks and bought off a forum member but have to take it at face value that it is just coincidence!

any advice much appreciated

Cheers Paul

How bad is it?

K seal if not too severe, it doesn't clog up anything but the leak source, despite what anyone says Cool

Need to remove whole front of the car and get out whole radiator pack. And only then can separate coolant radiator.
I never ever wouldnt use any kind of K seal in coolant system, especialy on LR.

It’s getting the work done on Thursday, question is there anything else worth replacing in there when it’s all apart? Save myself some pain in the long run? Damn wasn’t expecting a 1k bill after only owning the car two weeks! 😭

Water pump is cheap and worth doing, alternator if you want, idlers and pulleys plus belts, all easy without the rad in the way, guess you didn't fancy the k seal Cool
