Can’t find anything with searches but can this be done on a 2007 L322. I’ve seen it’s been done on D3, D4 and an 06 RRS.

I have a MY2010 5.0SC with vin AA and I have read through this thread with a close eye and still have a couple of queries. I am wondering if @georgekale or others could help:

Is there a wiring pigtail required to install the rear loadspace module to the vehicle harness, or is there a spare plug just dangling from the harness somewhere?







I believe that both front sensors are required for my AA VIN (it seems a bit unclear from the thread if I do or don't need both)? “The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”

My Adaptive Cruise Control has not been working for a while and I've just been ignorring the Warning Messages after ignition. However, I now have some time and am trying to research and see what needs fixing.

The IID Comes up with the following:

CCM-Cruise Control
No data from ECU

That is referring to the radar unit. Have you checked the fuse in the auxiliary fuse box?

Is that Fuse 6 (Adaptive Cruise Control, Brake Light Switch) from the Glove Box ? I’ve tested that one and it’s Ok.

Any other thoughts from anybody ?

MY 2012 4.4 TDV8

The 10A engine bay fuse 17 is the main power supply for the radar unit. CJB fuse 6 supplies the ignition signal to the radar unit.

Fuse 17 in the engine bay is also ok. I’ve also checked 12v+ on each side of all fuses within the engine Bay when the engine is running.

Other that that, are there any other control units to check before removing the Front Bumper to check / re-plug-in the Radar unit ?

The radar unit connects directly to the HS canbus, not via another module, so bumper off to check the connectors seems to be the next task.

PCM is already at latest. I take it I just need mounting bracket, loom and steering wheel controls? Or do I need the CC ecu as well?

If I do need the bracket will one from an L320 work?

Hopefully will stick a vid up of the install when I get it all together.

The 4.4's PCM provides CC/ACC functionality - no other ecu is required.

A L320 bracket could be quite different to the L322's bracket in how it mounts to the body.

ah fairs not worth the risk, got the radar for £200 delivered so a steal imo.

just need the loom, steering wheel bit, mount and away we go, already got the gap from a previous RRS, but I guess I'll need to get it activated.

do I still need to ask for the new firmware beta or do gap now just include it? Its actually a sport

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now

I only needed special firmware because the radar unit that I bought was mis-described as it was from a Jag, not an L322, so had to have L322 firmware loaded before it would be recognised on the L322.

I obtained a radar sensor, switches, and wiring loom from am MY 2012 (same as mine) - at lease I'm told that's what they were from - and the part numbers match the part catalog.

Buying the new bracket hurt a bit, but the installation was easy .. There was already a fuse in the slot in the engine fuse box.

That's the good bit ..

Once installed I used the GAP tutorial to set the three CCF values:

Cruise Control: Adaptive fitted
Cruise Control Display: Adaptive speed control full display plus priority messages
JAG Cruise Control: ACC

This completed OK

When the ignition was then turned on again I had multiple warnings. ABS Fault, Stability control, etc. etc. and the airbag light was illuminated.

A scan of fault codes just revealed one error logged by the Airbag module saying it had received an invalid config from the ABS module - this would not clear.

I reset all codes and still the ABS , traction control, airbag etc. warning light were illuminated along with many warnign messages.


I then edited the CCF again to return all value4s tp previous, but this had no effect on the above errors.

The only way I did then get rid of the messages and warning lights was to remove the ACC fuse for 10 seconds (with the config returned to no ACC) and all the faults & errors disappeared.

I tried the whole sequence again with exactlly the same results. The vehicle is perfectly happy with the radar sensor plugged in and powered, just so long as it's not configured as present in the CCF ....

Anyone else seen similar issues with the retrofit? Chris

I had to set more options than 3 but I also enabled stop/go. Check back through this thread to see what other CCF parameters need to be set.
