Thanks Colin, your retrofit was the prime mover in my quest to retrofit ACC to my L322.

For the 4.4 the radar unit LR029157 (get the correct the assembly number posted above if buying used), bracket LR022947, short wiring harness LR023028 to connect the radar unit to an existing wiring harness socket and left steering wheel switch pack LR029644 are required. The radar unit is located behind the right end of the bumper. The switch packs changed from earlier versions so a new right one might also be required to match. The 5.0 uses a separate ACC ecu, an additional radar unit and a link cable between the 2.

ACC with queue assist / stop-and-go is now operational after successfully initiating radar unit calibration using a new iidTool option developed because I needed it and presumably others may also need it, then happening to drive between 2 sets of tall metal gate-posts at the local tip which caused the flashing radar icon to go off. An engine restart after locking then unlocking the vehicle activated ACC. No adverse effects occurred in today's mix of fast and slow, single and multi lane traffic and on-coming vehicles.

An unexpected benefit it that the gearbox now downshifts on hills when it should where previously it would stay in top gear until revs dropped to around 1,000 rpm by which time the speed had dropped significantly so would drop several gears.

I have read this thread with interest as I have very recently bought a 2012 Range Rover with ACC. After some driving with it I realise that the car’s ACC “lets go” at about 20km/h, and some internet searching led me to a couple of forums, all of which you frequently contributed to.

I see that you have successfully retrofitted a system that allows “stop and go” about a year ago and so I thought I should try to ask you some specific questions regarding my system, I hope you do not mind.

Was the “Queue assist” an optional extra on the 2012 Range Rover Vogue Autobiography? If so, is it just a matter of enabling the JAG option with an IID tool to get this option or would this require additional hardware?

Queue Assist is software only so can be enabled. The caution from some UK people is that as queue assist wasn't available on the L322, the software may not have been finalised so may not work properly. However the couple of times that I tested queue assist it did slow the car to a stop and in good time. I wondered if following slow vehicles might not be as smooth as it needs to be as slowing then accelerating seemed to be reacting too quickly but that was in excess of 40 kph anyway, not under 20 kph.

Forward Alert isn't appreciated by my wife as a passenger as every time it has triggered I have been aware of the situation but I leave it enabled anyway.

That right there justifies be 400 odd euros that the GAP diagnostic Bluetooth tool costs, and who knows what else there might be to add??

I shall test the new settings with caution whenever I get around to set them and once I have taken delivery of the OBD bluetooth tool from GAP, then I will share my own experiences with it.

So, I have just found this thread and wonder if I got it right?

You can buy a radar second hand from ebay, get the bracket from your dealer, fix it in the cars front, buy the ACC module and plug it into the - hopefully existing yellow plug behind the kick panel and fix the module there, then update the cars software by switching the options of ACC to „on“ in the control module and change the left hand button cluster on the steering wheel and then have ACC retrofitted to m 2012 TDV8?

Thats one of the things I am missing in my vehicle. It has the 1200W HD Hifi, the camera system, the light pack, tow hook, cooled and heated seats and now recieved the power steps, but I am really missing the ACC sStem.

Can you update the software at the dealer or do you need a IID tool from GAP?

The required hardware when retrofitting ACC to the 4.4 TDV8 are the radar unit, its bracket, the short wire harness to connect the radar unit to the main harness connector below the right headlight and the switch bank. ACC support already exists in the 4.4's ECM but the CCF needs to be changed to show that ACC is fitted. Note that the radar unit is physically the same as fitted to various vehicles but the software must be for the MY10-12 L322 or MY10-13 RRS. The used radar unit that I purchased was incorrectly advertised as the correct LR part number but it was not, instead for a Jag so the s/w had to be re-flashed.

The radar unit does have a flat face but don't buy one that just looks the same.

Gap Diagnostics provided the L322 s/w to flash over the Jag s/w.

This link https://www.ebay.ie/itm/JAGUAR-LAND-ROVER-...3d65ff8982 is to one that appears to have the correct assembly number BH32-9G768-AD on the label, if I can read it correctly. As I discovered, some sellers advertise other versions as the correct LR part number when they are not, noting that the LR number is not on the label anywhere. Mine has CX23-9G768-AD on the label which is for a Jag so had to be reflashed with the correct software.

parts ordered (wiring and bracket) at the dealer new and switch bracket fro steering wheel and sensor through the bay. We will see - the sensor was even advertised as new. I will report back.
