But any work on the rear will not cause any offset on the steering wheel. |

That bush requires the alignment to be set up after it's been replaced.

Always remember Glenrands aren't far from Sandhurst, even if you need a phone call for some advice. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Glenrands do alignment work AFAIK. Mine's just failed for the same reason and it needs a new bolt as the original one is seized in the bushing so they have to cut it out. Glenrands looked at it a few weeks ago and said they needed replacing but didn't have time to do the work due to them expecting to have to cut out the bolts x4 so I'm lucky only one has failed. AFAIK these bolts only adjust the camber ? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Had results several times using a 3/4 inch drive HGV rattle gun, it either shakes them loose or sheers the bolt clean off and then no need to cut them, punch them out with an air chisel... Pete

They threw everything at it this afternoon but didn't want to risk shearing it off without having a replacement. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Is it me or is that mega rust for a 2010 my 07 is nothing like that - if you haven’t already I’d get your cill covers off and check them before you get a nasty surprise later down the line - I’d probably check the rear subframe too Current stable: 2006 BMW M6 2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF Gone: 2002 4.4 V8 FF |

It does seem a bit crusty but I think it looks worse in the photos than it actually is. I was wondering if I could clean it up a bit.

Fair enough if you’ve checked hopefully surface rust.

I think they're wrong to be honest. It's part of the adjustment for the alignment. Also, check they can lock it into Tight Tolerance Mode. If not, walk away and take it to somewhere else...... Yes and they do it properly e.g. Tight Tolerance Mode, Hunter 4 wheel laser kit and if any bolts are seized they will insist on replacement so it can be adjusted correctly.
