If the rain sensor isn't powered then the setting operates as intermittent.

I'm not sure, I purchased it from Gray's Actions on the mainland (Aus) then put it straight in the workshop and pulled it to pieces and re-sprayed it, while I was at it I had a new front screen fitted, so i'm guessing it did .

Update: Autoglass have just left (good response time to be fair) having fitted another screen, same manufacturer same batch number, same result!! Auto wipe still doesn't work. There tech dept has for some completely inexplicable reason (given they must know the issue by now) authorised a replacement sensor. We'll see what this does (I won't be holding my breath mind!). Be interesting if the new sensor works, you will probably have to program it before you can test it.

I'll go with that! About an hour and a half, but they were playing with the laptop to try and reprogram the rain sensor (which I'm not sure it needs, but they're supposed to know what they're doing). Drives:

Just as a bit of a curved ball suggestion, are you sure that this isn’t the well known issue of the cabling for the auto wipers and lights going belly up?

Can you elaborate a little further Chris, which side, wire color and what parts need removing to find the said wire? It’s worth a look after all I’m not getting any where at the moment! |

All done at home, only minor inconvenience is that you have to leave it for an hour or two to allow the adhesive to cure. Drives:
