I was warned off repairing deep scratches on glass due to it weakening the glass. Apparently the glass counts for quite a big chunk of the structural integrity in the event of a crash.

Don't let it get to you (easy for me to say). They've won twice if you do that. Whilst THEY damaged a £75000 car, that car is owned by you, and YOU won't be the one going to sleep tonight after eating rats in your shi*hole house!  My Previous RR's!

...Only problem is that supporting Dundee FC we don't see Celtic very often...more likely to be Cowdenbeath!!!

You will probably find that your car insurance will replace the broken window for you, without it affecting your no claims bonus, and sometimes without even an excess. Sorted!
