F****** BASTWARDS

Just washed my car to find that some Censored brainless lowlife has etched his name all over the rear window Censored Evil or Very Mad .....and as its OEM privacy it just looks dreadful!!!

I'm far too livid just now to post a picture but can anyone tell me if its possible to rub down the window with anything without making things look worse..

Any advice would be appreciated

You can get glass polish, but that will only take out very minor scratches.

Can your ins co can replace the glass as part of your glass insurance?

I have had success with Jewellers Rouge in the past - depends how bad it is though - might need a new rear window if its really deep.

Jim you have a p.m. re insurance

Absolute scum. I know it's little consolation, but just be glad they didn't key it. Glass can be replaced, panel damage from keys is much worse!

Just a thought, since it's such a new car just wondering if the dealership might help a little? Just for goodwill, couldn't do any harm to get on to the dealer principle and give your tale of woe and just see what they say? Especially if you've had any battery issues. Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I'm gutted for you, people like that should be castrated and quartered slowly IMO.

They never get caught and if they did would probably get given a holiday to overcome the mental stress of being caught. Discovery 4 HSE

You can get a glass polishing kit but you will need a rotary polisher. Doing it by hand is a no-no unless you live to be 1000. I've used this stuff to good effect in removing small scratches and wiper trails etc.

You will also need a rayon pad for the polishing machine. regular foam will disintegrate in seconds.

Forget polishing as even if you get it out that area will be shinier than the rest of the glass and look awful.

You need a new window but you may be covered under your insurance....

Just back from Halfords and couldn't find anything that I thought would work...will perhaps get hold of a bottle of your polish and try it...If not then its looking like a replacement window Big Cry
